(More customer reviews)My baby had a hard time latching on in the beginning. She was premature and didn't quite understand how to latch on and suck successfully. She lost 20% of her birth weight in the first 3 days home and I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep breastfeeding her. We went to a lactation consultant and she suggested these nipple shields. They worked wonders. My baby only had to use the shields for a week or so until it became natural. I would have given up on breast feeding if it wasn't for these shields. These also help with sore nipples.
